Key Responsibilities

1. Content Editing & Quality Control

  • Edit and proofread articles, blogs, and other content for grammar, tone, and style.
  • Maintain consistency with brand voice and editorial guidelines.
  • Perform fact-checking and ensure content accuracy.

2. Team Coordination

  • Manage and oversee the content production workflow, ensuring timely submissions and deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for freelancers, writers, and editors.
  • Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure smooth communication across teams.

3. Editorial Strategy

  • Develop and maintain an editorial calendar to meet deadlines and campaign goals.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and design teams to align content with strategic objectives.
  • Suggest improvements to content strategies and implement editorial best practices.

4. Mentorship and Leadership

  • Provide guidance and constructive feedback to freelancers, junior editors, and writers.
  • Lead training sessions to improve team skills and efficiency.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative editorial team culture.

5. Process Optimization

  • Identify inefficiencies in the content production process and propose solutions.
  • Use editorial tools and software to enhance workflow and productivity.
  • Monitor performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of published content.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in editing or a similar role.
  • Experience in editing and coordinating newsletters is a strong preference.
  • Exceptional command of English and keen attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and familiarity with SEO principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
